LIFE STORY CELEBRATION CAKES

Celebrate a fabulous milestone with something a little different. Cakes that tell a story, be it a big numbers cake, a life story, a career or an aspect of someone’s life or character, we can work with you to interpret the cake the way you want it. First, we work out what needs to be told and how much or little we need to get on the cake to tell the story. I sketch as we are talking, we look at the budget and then the work begins. If you are looking for something different that is bespoke and unique, give me a call and we can start working out the details.

For gluten-free, vegan cakes or allergy considerations

Please note, I cannot guarantee that your cake can be 100% free of the regular products I use for preparing cakes as they are prepared in the same kitchen where I use wheat flour, eggs and nuts on a regular basis as well as the same baking pans.

50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

The suggestion for this cake was to make a cake that told the story of the couples many adventures and milestones together. I asked for photographs and worked from those, representing everyone within their immediate family and over four generations. Their wedding, some hobbies, careers, pastimes of the family as well as symbols and sayings were used, along with cartoon like characters to bring this cake to life.

MILESTONE BIRTHDAY

For a talented saxophonist, hairdresser, wife and mum with a zest and multiple interests in life. This was a 360-degree cake on a rotation board so that the whole of the cake could be seen without walking around the table.

CELEBRATING 100 YEARS

Bill was the senior engineer at the BT tower in London in the 1960’s and a true Cockney gentleman having been born and lived within earshot of the Bow Bells in London all his life. The cake represented his love of London, travel and seaside holidays. Many special photographic images from his life were also included.

A CAKE WITH MANY TALES

This delightful lady owns a flower farm, she has an amazing sense of humour and spent her younger years in South Africa and all of that needed to be incorporated into the cake. The top tier had a traditional Ndebele hut, some drums, and a nod to Somerset with Shaun the Sheep. The middle tier was all about the funny moments in Lara’s life as well as her family, her fury family, and the things they love to do in life. The base of the cake was all about her flower farm. All our life-story cakes come with a written explanation as to why the scenes have been created.
